Study Purpose

Chronic Kidney Disease is common, affecting up to 10% of older dogs. If left untreated, progression of chronic kidney disease can lead to loss of kidney function as well as a buildup of toxins in the bloodstream. Treatment for their chronic kidney disease is essential to maintain the length and quality of their life.

We are currently accepting dogs in a clinical trial to investigate a potential new treatment for chronic kidney disease in dogs. This study will evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the potential new treatment for chronic kidney disease in dogs.

What Will Happen in The Study?

There will be:

  • Physical Examinations
  • Lab work
  • Study treatment
  • There will be 19 visits over the course of approximately 18 months.

Is My Pet Eligible to Enroll?

*Requirements for Eligibility to Participate Include (but aren’t limited to):

  • Dog must have a diagnosis of CKD
  • Dog must be in stable condition
  • Dog cannot have a known diagnosis of serious concurrent diseases that would interfere with the study objectives
  • Dog cannot be intended for breeding, is pregnant, or is lactating
