Study Purpose
Congestive heart failure due to mitral valve disease is the most common cardiovascular disease in dogs. If left untreated, it could lead to tissue damage or spread to other organs. We are currently accepting dogs in a clinical trial to investigate a potential new way of managing congestive heart failure due to mitral valve disease.
This study will evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the management of congestive heart failure due to mitral valve disease in dogs.

What Will Happen in The Study?
There will be:
- Physical examinations
- Radiographs
- Echocardiogram
- Lab work
- Study treatment
- 6 in person visits over the course of approximately 3 months
Is My Pet Eligible to Enroll?
*Requirements for Eligibility to Participate Include (but aren’t limited to):
- Dog has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure due to mitral valve disease
- Dog cannot have a concurrent condition or disease that could interfere with study objectives
- Dog cannot be pregnant or lactating, or intended for breeding during the study
- Dog must meet mandatory washout period
- Dog must have received Furosemide, Pimobendan, ACE inhibitor and Spironolactone for at least 10 continuous days prior to Study Day 0.
